Ok, This is really just an electronics question. I hope that one of the experts on this list will take the time to enlighten me a little. I have been struggling with truly understanding the concept of impedance. More importantly, I don't understand the role it plays in the behavior of any given circuit. As a newbie, I sometimes try to picture the electrons racing through a conductor, and how a component affects the behavior of that electron. For instance, I understand the concept of resistance ( at least to some degree ) and ( to a lesser degree ) the concept of capacitance. Impedance is resistance to change ( correct ? ). To this end, I believe the older I get the higher my impedance . Anyway, impedance is a term that is used here on this list ( and elsewhere ) frequently in discussing all aspects of circuit design and troubleshooting. I thought if I read enough that eventually I would gain a better understanding of the term by seeing how it was used in everyday electronics problem solving. Alas, this hasn't happened. Please enlighten me, oh great ones . Eric
