Can you hook a LED directly between a PIC I/O pin and GND or +5 Volts,
turning the pin on and off, using the duty cycle to reduce the *AVERAGE*
current to 20 ma or so?  Is there some sort of effective source resistance,
(or sink resistance),  to limit the current?  If so, how do you determine
what this resistance is so you can set the duty cycle?  Could it be as high
as 100 ohms?
