I am a student working on a project that involves programming a PICstick 16F84.

We are trying to program the PIC utilizing the serin / out concurrently. We are having trouble with our laptop receiving the data. Why?

Also there is some confusion with the TRIS direction and register in / out, how is that dealt with?

Can we program the PIC via the serin avenue?

Any help would "help"!
