And then you pass that second milestone some day: You graudate from the lowly 16F84 to the bigger iron of the family, like the 16C73, when you realize that you desparately need those extra peripherals like A/D and PWM! I passed my one-year PIC anniversary last month. I am currently working on a PIC'bot using a 16C73. Sadly, it is the mechanical side of things slowing me down not the electronics or programming side. After many efforts and a strong conviction that the programmer was faulty, I realised that only 2v was getting t o the PIC, so I juiced it up and what d' ya Know it was working all along.
