I looking at developing a system using one of the Microchip passive RFID
tags - the MCRF250.

Microchip has plans for a detector and programmer in their MicroID 125kHz
RFID System Design Guide.  The detector is based around a 16F84 and the
programmer uses a 16C73.

I was wondering if anyone has had success in building / using these units.
Of most interest is the obtainable read range - I don't have any size
limitation on either the tag or detector aerials.
