There an inherent "problem" (or feature - depending on how you look at it) with NT4, that programs can't address hardware directly. There are, however, some smart people who've got round this, and there are several examples of code/programs that are available that break the rule. Unfortunately, Microchip seem to be ignoring this - Microsoft aren't going to do anything about it until Windows 2000 (NT5) appears. Bite the bullet and make it dual-boot machine, or get yourself a laptop/second PC with 95 or 98 on.
