Gentlemen; I have an P7575. When I first acquired it, I tried to use the drivers under win 3.1. They were horrid. Most every fascet of the plot was flawed. I found a third party driver kit that serves a whole list of HP plotters, and have had fantastic luck. The driver has never wiped out on me, and furthermore, the latest version does true type fonts.
