Give me a couple of day to configure and test.... It's a nice idea. However, from personal experience I have to say that I'm generally not looking for complete projects. Rather, I'd want to take a look at how other people deal with some specific thingie. This could involve hardware design, firmware, or both. Which also brings up another point that might be relevant to the creation of an archive/database site.... I'm not at all whizzy with electronics, but pretty good at producing nifty code. (at the time when I started programming, RAM was scarce... that's why I love PICs: you can once again take pride in writing smart&small code. On PC's etc it is -unfortunately!- no longer an issue....) Anyway, sometimes I'm just completely stuck with bits of electronics design.... I'm sure plenty of people could solve those problems in their sleep! ;-) On my part, I'm quite willing to work on little programming problems other people have, and publishing the code. I'd be very interested in a site that would support such a scheme.... And organized way of posting a specific question, and for others to post a solution (or perhaps even 'reserve' that prob for themselves so the wheel doesn't need to be invented umpteen times). This would create a database of very useful info. After all, any project can just be regarded as a set of hardware and firmware modules that someone wants to stick together. And of course, some of those modules have yet to be designed! ;-) On a fun note, the site could even hold a competition for the shortest code solution to a particular problem. Nice challence to keep the programmers awake ;-) If webspace is an issue, I might be able to help. I have limited bandwidth but unlimited diskspace/access and no traffic charges. Regards, Arjen.
