Since I'm local to the 202 area code, I gave them a call. They turned out to be approximately as rude over the phone as they are over this list. They seem to be quite exasperated with this and even though I tried to explain to them how to get off the list they insisted in a very testy, elevated voice that it was not their fault and we would keep getting that message forever and ever as long as we kept sending them mail and if we didn't like it, then tough, stop sending them mail. welcome to the late 20th Century. So I spoofed signoffs to listserv coming from them, copied to the list (yes, that was me), hopefully that will make this nonsense go away. --Bob On Wed, Feb 03, 1999 at 12:19:44PM -0500, MER wrote: > No one connected with MID-EAST REALITIES or the > COMMITTEE ON THE MIDDLE EAST has any idea who > you are or has ever asked to receive anything from you. > > MER@MiddleEast.Org and > COME@MiddleEast.Org > > are the addresses you are for some reason sending to; and > when you do you get the automated reply sent out to such email. > > Please correct this situation.
