You guys should look up the data.  Duracell says an alkaline AA battery
is 2450 mAh, and this data is some years old.  Most manufacturers
switched chemistries within the last year (some changed their name too,
e.g. 'ultra'), so it's likely to be 10-15% higher now.

Digi-Key stocks Panasonic NiCads rated at 500-1000 mAh for AA's (various
types - Standard through Super High Capacity).  They also have NiMH at
1500 mAh.  Alkalines are 170 hours at 100 ohms, which comes out around
2200 mAh, depending on what you estimate the average voltage to be.
