i've read various messages here from people messing with voice chips. i've got an application where i need to play 20 messages of 4sec each (recording is done off-site, and OTP memory would be fine). the customer talked about individual voice chips, i'm not sure whether this is a requirement (individually exchangeable) or whether i could use a bigger chip with addressable messages for all 20 (i'll find that out tomorrow). in any case, i'd be grateful for some pointers to manufacturers of easy-to-use voice chips. i saw the ISD chipcorder chips, and they seem to be fine, but since they have the recording part on-chip and i don't need that, i thought there might be some cheaper chips out there which only do the playing (which also might be safer against data loss). there would be no problem if some special programming equipment was necessary. TIA, ge
