Let me add a few things about Zilog. in our company we use zilog for more then 5 years. maybe Zilog doesn't have w register but it has lots of other problems too. let me know if you like to hear them. started this year we are doing to use Microchip If you like to use zilog to replace pic or opposite you can rotate the pic for 180 degree it will feet perfectly without modifying the board except you need to take care of master clear and ra4 add 10k resister. zilog has 14 I/O pic has 13 I/O I hate zilog. hope this will help some one.
