I'm using a MAX1044 voltage converter to generate -5vdc from +5vdc. The datasheet says to use a large low ESR cap on the output to reduce ripple. I couldn't find any reference in Horwitz and Hill to ESR and examination of the cap specs in the digikey catalog only had 1 mention of the term - for a electrolytic cap that is far too large for my application. Any suggestions on what a low ESR cap might be. TIA -- Donald C.
