I've tried simulation, and I've tried using 16F84 as much as possible,
but it reduces stress a lot to have a JW part to fiddle with.

Check the http://www.iversoft.com/piclist/ archives for a porting
checklist I wrote last year.  Helps one to write code that works on
16F84 and 12C509 at the same time.  I tried searching for it then, but
the search engine couldn't find me, and it could not find 12C509
either!  I suspect a fault with the engine.
