Uh, afaik, those EPROM eraser 'guns' use just that: a Mercury vapor
discharge tube made of quartz fired by a normal strobo circuit. afaik the
bulbs are made on special order for the manufacturers and can't be
obtained from anywhere else. Knowing the horrible things such a bulb could
do if misused in a disco strobe, I think it's good one can't buy them.
