Well, I'd start by looking into a plate transformer as others have suggested. Next in line would be a microwave oven high voltage transformer... The one for the magnetron. I've used these for vacuum tube tesla coils in the past, and are quite good. They have plenty of current, and are usually 1500 - 2500 volts. Brad - bstockda@wvu.edu
