I believe most of their data sheets provide enough information to implement it. I just wrote small test program which interfaces with a handfull of 1820 sensors (using bare CCS C, with no assembly interspersed), using just that info, and the program worked the first time I tried it out. There are two questions, though. a) is there anything proprietary about that protocol, besides the trademark? While it might be easy to come up with a nonproprietary version, one would prefer to follow their specs to the bit, if only for being able to mix different devices on the same "1- wire". b) if there is a satisfactory answer to a) - what about the so called "family code"? It would certainly be nice to know which family codes NOT to use. -- o ( Wolfgang.Strobl@gmd.de (+49 2241) 14-2394 /\ * GMD mbH #include _`\ `_<=== Schloss Birlinghoven, __(_)/_(_)___.-._ 53754 Sankt Augustin, Germany ________________
