I've often thought of that one, but it smacks of that discussion a while back about the robotic lawnmowers. What happens if it confuses *you*, or some part of you, for the bug? The lasers are presently hard to come by with a, say, 1 kJ pulse *output*. If located about 6" from the ceiling it would perhaps be little worse risk than a similarly placed ceiling fan... -- Cheers, Paul B.
