Hello all!

I'm finishing a simple VHF scanner using a low cost IC (LA1800), and
need to switch it's coil from vcc side. It worked with mechanical switch,
and I need to know if a transistor can do the same....what do I use:
a bipolar or a fet to switch the vcc to the segments of the coil?
