Friends,
Earlier today I sent a message to the PICList about problems I was having with t
he SIMICE. The problem was do to the fact that there are about 10 jumpers on the
 SIMICE and the product does not come with the settings. There is no info on MCH
IPS website so I called their tech-support. Luckily all the info I needed was fo
und in a file entitled "readme.sii" in the MPLAB directory along with a bunch of
 other "readme.***"(don't ask me why). Seems that 7 of those jumpers you don't n
eed to worry about unless you're using the 12CXXX family, and I just happen to b
e using a 12C509. Overall the SIMICE works great for the price.Figured I'd post
this just in case another engineering student/hobbyist/newbie/anybody else is ha
ving the same problem.  Just wanted to thank all those of you sent me suggestion
