HI!

I would appreciate if someone could tell me how
should I set OPTION and TRIS registers (and also
the configuration word) to let TMR0 (GP2) increment
on each pulse (low-to-high transition) of an external
clock signal applied to GP2 (on a 1:1 basis).
PIC is a 12C508, WDT is not necessary in my code and
I use 4Mhz internal oscillator.
I've already tried and cannot get an increment in
MPLAB's simulator.

My settings:
        movlw   0xe8    ;set OPTION register 00110 100
        OPTION
        movlw   0xfe    ;set GPIO i/o port directions / GP0 output
        TRIS    GPIO
