Tried posting this earlier, but got no replies... maybe it's such a
dumb question that I should know it instinctively, but I don't.  :-(

I want to use a 16C73 to read five analog sources.  But at the
same time, I need to use the SPI port in master mode to drive
a MAX7219 LED driver.

If I enable the SPI, does that always take away the ability to use
the A/D input pin AN4?  I don't need the *SS signal, so if I
try to read an analog input on AN4 will it work?  Or do I have to
disable the SPI first (which would be a major pain)?

Comments?  Flames?  Anyone??
