Not to be sarcastic, but what means good? Are you looking for PIC-based stuff, very general stuff, advanced stuff, beginner stuff, x86-PC/104 stuff? VME/cPCI stuff? Computer Design (http://www.computer-design.com, about to become "Computer Design's Electronic Systems"), is, I believe, a good magazine, but it stays pretty well clear of microcontrollers to focus on stuff in the PC/104 through VME range, with lots of digressions about support chips, peripherals and programmable logic. It is also pricy outside of the states. EDN and Electronic Design are decent general electronics magazines that spend quite a bit of copy on embedded systems. I am also quite fond of two magazines "Sensors" and "Test & Measurement World" that tend to cover the topic mostly from the perspective of the kinds of peripherals that tend to be found more often in embedded systems, or the types of dedicated equipment that can be made with embedding computers. I believe that all of these magazines are available internationally. I may have missed your point completely, but embedded systems is a big topic. --Bob On Thursday, December 03, 1998 6:47 PM, Jason Tuendemann [SMTP:jtuendemann@sky6.skynews.com.au] wrote: > This is OT but could anyone point me in the direction of a > good > design/embedded magazine that is preferably available in > Australia. > > Thanks > Jason
