The WinBoard is good enough but WinDraft not. I tried it shareware and full working version and both crashed some times without reason. In this case you lose your work. You stil have backup copies of autosave funkcion but every ten minutes you can do big work on shematic. In WinBoard, when you try to select a part or silk on one side of PCB, you never know what WinBoard will select, if there is another part (or trace, or ...) on the other side of PCB. ex.: on the same position on the PCB are two parts, one on the TOP layer the other on the BOTTOM layer. When clicking on top layer part you can select meny things:(top part, bottom part, top silk, bottom silk etc) In the "protel98" in the same situacion it will ask you what do you want to select. This is a big advantage. For auto place and auto router in protel98 - no coments, maybe just: EXELENT. Wd and Wb by Ivex there is no auto place and auto route. The Ivex's library editor isn't so good as protel98's. This is just for comparsion. I've used Ivex products for more then a year but now i found out the protel98. It's really very good.
