Could someone give me specific details as to what each part of the Tait Programmer does. Like the data pins from the parallel port, the 74HC299, ...etc...

How does it read and write... and any simular questions like this.

I see the layout and the schematics, but I just really want to know the details

I'm really trying to learn each specific parts and how each part of this programmer really works.

I would really appreciate this help. I'm new at this, so I would like to learn how this specific programmer works.
