I've missed the first part of this subject.....whats this cracked
    thing all about?

1) Apparently someone cracked the "enabler" for pik&poke or
   related tool.

2) Author complained, lamenting moral state of the world.

3) gnu "free software, charge for support" philosophy vs normal
   distribution methods.

4) Extension of SW distribution schemes to larger ecconomic
   organization; capitalism vs communism.

5) degree to which on or the other economic system exploits
   natural resources.

6) Origin and timeframe for production of those natural resources.

7) biblical vs geologic time frames.

I think that makes thing current...
