If you're talking about the RS232 port then it's easy.
You could retrieve info from the scope using a simple terminal program.
There's a complete set of text commands. It's fully described
in the "Programmers manual" which comes with the comms module.

In fact, every setting on the scope can be configured from the 232 port.

If you're talking GPIB then I have no clue.
