Just FYI, the ".MP3" format is not MPEG3.  It's actually MPEG1, Layer 3.

Yeah, it's been around for quite a while!  It's part number MAS3507D
from Intermetall/Micronas.  Have a look at gussie.alaska.net/acplay
for a really cool project using it from someone I know over on the
Atmel list.
