Hi Geoff,

Linear Technology makes a series of 12-Bit Serial I/O Data Acquisition chips
which need only 3 connections to the microcontroller. They have 1, 2, 6 or 8
input channels selectable by the serial data link.  The thermal drift,
linearity and full scale error are within 0.5LSB.  They are LTC1291 to
LTC1294.
You could get away with two of the 6 channel devices.

Hi,

I'm looking into a project that requires the reading of voltages output from
10 sensors and inputting the values to my PC through the parallel port. This
obviously requires the use of A/D converters, however, instead of using a
bank of 10 A/D converters, is there any way that I could use a single
converter, and switch the analogue inputs sequentially to it.
