I think it would be quicker to keep an ASCII reference chart handy and key the codes in. Do you realise that this is built in to Windoze? It's called Character Map and lives in the Accessories folder. You can add a shortcut to it to the StartUp folder. Don't forget to use the numeric keypad for the Alt-codes. How do you suppose I type µ ("mu" as in µF) or ¡ (degree) so easily using my American keyboard (as against my German one)? (Hint: I *remember* they are Alt-230 and Alt-248 respectively!) -- Cheers, Paul B.
