For a rail to rail in and out part, I am kind of fond of the LPC660/661/662. They are not the newest parts on the block, but I never have a problem getting them. The next alternative is the LMC6482A and it's ilk. Only gripe I have is that when customers get the products to work on, two of them (two different designs) damaged the op amp with static. Hmm. Not a statistical basis for a study, but I quit using them anyhow. And then if National is not your bag, baby, (The kids keep watching Austin Powers over and over), then try some of Analog Devices stuff. They have some realy cool parts. Stay away from TI, I just don't like them because of hugely frustrating support problems on other devices (not op-amps). Stay away from Maxim, you won't get your production parts before the next century (no longer an exageration). Last but not least, expect great performance from Linear Tech parts, but expect a somewhat high price on the parts. Chris Eddy Pioneer Microsystems, Inc.
