Hi Ricardo,

You can use a serial comm unit to send some instructions (AT,ATC1D2,ATW
etc.)
to modem using a PIC.There is no diffirance to send command using PC
(RS-232)
 or using PIC.You can find any source on the net using int driven software
or using timers..

        Some professor give to me a little proyect: Need to send

modem with a PIC (i.e., got to design a minimal system to manipulate a
modem).  He told me that a good begin is to know how the PC do that.

        The modem I have is pretty old: a special feature is that changing
some
jumpers a define the address where it«s going to be.
