        Currently I«m a student of Electronic Engenieer.  

        Some professor give to me a little proyect: Need to send instruccions to
 a
modem with a PIC (i.e., got to design a minimal system to manipulate a
modem).  He told me that a good begin is to know how the PC do that.

        The modem I have is pretty old: a special feature is that changing some
jumpers a define the address where it«s going to be.


        Some body can help me with some informaton.
