Sounds like (for what Stuart was wanting anyway, Home
Automation) it would be a lot easier to get a 100+ cd
jukebox (which are rather cheap nowadays, ~$150ish) and
master its IR remote pattern.  Then an EEprom to store favs
and you're set..
