Where?  I had a look but couldn't see an "esc" section or anything else
mentioning ibuttons or PICs

As you said though, it's fairly straightforward programming- all the specs
are downloadable from http://www.ibutton.com- there's some very nifty parts
in the range- the 1-wire battery charge monitor looks like it could have
several more applications, for example...
