What distance? What data > rate? Yeah. The FCC (the Men in CHeap Suits referred to by Bob BLick) will REALLY climb down your throat fast, like next week. I knew a guy in high school who put together a pirate transmitter, and got a visit at 11:30 PM! I used a cheap 1 watt transmitter kit to put a LEGAL radio station in my dormitory. I could transmit to the entire building, and about a block around. The transmitter lasted until I tried to soup it up to 2 watts (has my statute of limitations run out yet?) I could transmit 2 blocks, but it fried after an hour. -- Lawrence Lile "The ideal design has zero parts" - (attributed to Harold Hallikainen) Download AutoCad blocks for electrical drafting at: http://home1.gte.net/llile/index.htm
