I haven't been keeping up with this list as well as I'd like, so maybe
this is old news, but DigiKey (http://www.digikey.com/) now stocks the
12c671 and 12c672 chips.  These are the 8 pin chips with built in A/D
converters and internal RC oscillators.  Go to DigiKey's web page, click
on "Parts Search" on the front page and type in 12c67 to find them.

Bad news: The JW parts aren't in yet!

They say they have over 1000 of each chip in stock.  Prices: (all DIP)

              4 MHz OTP  10 MHz OTP     10MHz JW
12c671         $3.18       $3.40         $9.49   (But no JW parts in
stock)

12c672         $3.55       $3.80         $9.92   (But no JW parts in
stock)

Note that all these prices are down a bit from their printed catalog.

Now if they just get the JW parts in, I'll order some.
