I'm a hobbyist just starting out (Professional Systems Programmer by trait).
I want to design a rather ambitious MPU network to control all aspects of my
home (i.e.: Sprinklers, multi zoned heat/air, security...). I will be the
first one to admit that I am over my head, but that's how I like it.
The main question I have is, if I am going to invest in a
programmer/software, should it be for the Microchip PIC line or the new
Scenix SX. I like the speed and features of the SX but worried if they will
be around in another year!
Any opinions would be appreciated.
