When I first tried to use MPLAB it was set up to look in the wrong directory. I called MicroChip and was told to fix something in the options. Call the MicroChip help line and get them to tell you where to fix this set up problem. MicroChip did a bad job on the documentation and software bugs in MPLAB. Having a piece of software install and work the first time is not hard to test before shipping it, but MicroChip did not bother to do this.
