Both my dogs have one.  My older dog's is made by Arvid - don't know who
made my puppy's implant.  Different manufacturers use different names,
but all the vets seem to call them "microchips" (so I guess this *is* on
topic).

Just do a web search using the keyword "microchip" - I think that you'll
get one or two hits. <g>

Seriously, though - all my implant info is at home.  I'll check it out
tonight and give you some more info tomorrow.  What I do know is that
they are passive - they output a unique identifier when stimulated by an
external radiation source.
