I also have the two books. I'm my opinion, for what it is worth, it's the other way around. In Predko's book every time he tries to explain something he says, "as can be seen in Figure X" and that's it. Actually the figure is even more difficult to understand than the problem at hand. I think that, from a beginners point of view, Easy Pic'n is a book you can enjoy and get something useful out of it. As I said, this is only my humble opinion.
