Along this line of questioning... A friend of mine recently asked me what the essential differences were between the F84 and the C84. When I told him that the CP bit was inverted, he asked if this would mean that the default setting had changed, in other words, on a blank c84, the CP bit is set to off, correct? Well, if on an F84, the empty device has all bits set high (as in the C84), then shouldn't the CP bit be ON in a blank device?
