Hi there. I have a PCB with a 16C63 micro on board. I have designed it to be programmed in circuit via an plug in connector. Unfortunately we bought an Avantech Labtool-48 universal programmer as our programmer. This will program 16C63 plugged into the Ziff socket but if we try to fool it by plugging in an empty IC socket with the appropriate programming/VDD etc pins (connected to the PCB with the PIC soldered to it) it says it doesn't recognise the chip. Does anyone know how to fool the Labtool-48 into thinking that the 16C63 is plugged in?
