  I don't see the point.  Peristaltic pumps have very poor "feel" for
the load and are quite likely to explode if the outlet is blocked!

  Of course, if you have a bypass system as you do with fuel injection,
the pressure is not permitted to become excessive, but that is the very
nub of the problem!
