Hi, all
     Thanks to all who helped me with finding compilers last week. I
didnt find any strictly basic compilers, but a few which are similar and
may be good for my purposes. I have a couple more questions if someone
has time to give an answer. I have several assemblers, and I've seen
several more in my net browsing. I am ready to start studying one, but I
would like to know if any particular ones are considered better than
others. The type of mnemonics is of no concern since the only types I
had experience with are ancient 8080, 6502,6800 and such. I have the ITU
pic 1 programmer, and most of their software, and now I need to buy some
pics. Im confused by the plethora of chips available and after studying
their selector guides and looking in catalogs, I still have some
questions. Some eeprom pics are "flash" and others just eeprom. Whats
the dif? 16c84 versus 16f84?  Is there a good faq which deciphers the
family of chips ?
