I have experienced the Z180 with PC modem! Works fine!

There is not secret! The Hayes protocol of modem is very easy!

If you use a microcontroller with Embedded serial, will be more easy!

In recent Elektor Electronics, an article about 8051 that comunicate with
a modem and a PC was published!
