A couple of weeks ago, some people were asking about basic Electronics books. I just got "Teach yourself Electricity and Electronics" by Stan Gibilisco. It's a pretty good introduction to electronics, right from basic principles (what's an electron) up to digital electronics (including simple device theory). It's really a textbook (at the end of each chapter, there is a set of questions - the answers are at the end of the book). It doesn't discuss soldering, but it does introduce how to use DMMs, other meters and oscilloscopes. I've added it to my web page's "Book Room" at: http://www.myke.com/Book_Room Look for it under "Electrical Engineering and Electronics". myke "In this life we all get an equal share of ice.
