Hey Bill, this morning I got to work to find a sticker on my phone from the IS department at Consumers Gas here in Toronto, stating that my phone has been certified as Y2K audited. Now I can see this being relevant for the people here witht the LCD display on their phones that displays the time and date, but mine is little more than a handest and a box with buttons. Kind of reminds me of a few years ago, with all the food manufacturers using vegetable oils scrambling to inform the public that their product is now "cholesterol free!", when only products made with animal fats have cholesterol in the first place. Author: pic microcontroller discussion list at Internet Date: 6/22/98 2:56 PM I mostly see the silly side of this: "is your router with no senses of date to start with certified to be year-2000 compatible"?, I talked with a financial planner the other day, and he had a significant worry that there would be financial crises related to the "year 2000 problem". (~30%, I think.) I think "Crisis" in this context means anything that will spook the stock market, as opposed to "real" crises... BillW
