Friends, I am using two PIC 16C64A's to test a 24 wire harness. (You're probably right, i t's overkill). I planned on having one chip Tx the signals while the other one R x it and displays the result on an SLI (Serial LCD Interface) I bought from WIRZ . I still haven't received the SLI so I figured I'd use a red LED to simulate t he "fail" and a green LED ti simulate "pass". I also made it so an LED would lig ht after the TX and Rx PIC's start. The problem is that the fail LED is constant ly on. I hardwired the circuit on a breadboard and checked the wiring, it's ok. I'm not sure if the timing is off or what?! I'm fairly new to using PIC's and pr ogramming. Here is some info in case it might help: Tx chip=16c64a Rx chip=16c64a OSC: they are both sharing a TTL canned OSC MCLR is pulled high with a 10K resistor to +5V This is only a one shot deal, not a major project. The thing that I want from it is to learn what I'm doing wrong! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. You can email me privately or on the list, Thanks again!!
