I've put a few pages on the web at www.xs4all.nl/~wf/wouter/pic featuring: WISP: an in-circuit 16c84/16f84 programmer based on a 16x84: - minimal hardware (I wanted to stay within the 100pin limit of the IVEX demo's) - only 5v regulated or 9v unregulated required (a charge pump creates the VPP) - non-critical rs232 communication - multiple WISPs can be on one serial port - can be used as production programmer (9v unregulated required) - supports communication with the target via the same rs232 line - command-line tool for dos/windows - all sources, schematics etc available - hw & sw should be stable and reliable JAL: a simple high-level language for the 16x84: - pascal/modula/ada/SIL-like syntax - if, while, procedures - static-stack register allocation - the compiler runs (only) on the windows command-line - compiler, small library and one demo available, more to come - source not available - prototype If you put a comment on the PIClist please CC: me, I do not always check ALL messages on the PIClist. regards, Wouter.
